Emmi-Pet ultrasonic teeth cleaning
Cleaner teeth and fresher breath, with no brushing, no scraping and no anaesthetic.
How it works
Emmi-Pet is an ultrasonic toothbrush made for animals. Instead of scrubbing, the brush head rests gently against each tooth while ultrasound works through a special toothpaste. It makes millions of tiny bubbles that break up plaque and bacteria on the teeth and along the gum line.
Because nothing scrubs, scrapes or rattles, most dogs settle into it much more easily than you might expect. There is no noise to speak of and no vibration they can feel, and it is done with your dog awake and comfortable.
Who it is for
It suits most dogs, and it is especially good for small breeds, whose teeth are crowded and pick up tartar quickly, and for older dogs who should not have an anaesthetic just for a clean.
It does not replace your vet. If your dog has loose or broken teeth, red and swollen gums, or seems to be in pain when eating, please see your vet first.
Your Emmi-Pet appointments
-
First appointment, about an hour
We take our time so your dog can get used to the brush and the taste of the toothpaste, then clean every tooth slowly.
-
We tell you what we saw
You hear how the teeth and gums looked, and whether anything is worth showing your vet.
-
Maintenance visits, about 40 minutes

Questions about teeth cleaning
Does it hurt?
No. The brush head is held still against the tooth rather than scrubbed, so there is nothing sharp and nothing rough.
Does my dog need to be sedated?
No. Emmi-Pet cleaning is done with your dog awake. If your dog has a lot of hardened tartar or a problem tooth, that is a job for your vet.
Can I book it with a groom?
Yes. Choose both services when you book online and they will be done in the same visit.
