Privacy policy
Last updated: 10 October 2026
This policy explains what information Rex's Grooming Parlour collects through this website, why, and what we do with it. We have tried to keep it short and in plain English.
Who we are
This website is run by Rex's Grooming Parlour, a dog grooming business at 116 Magnolia Road, Seacroft, Leeds LS14. You can email us at james@tarkawebdesign.com. Our current contact details are always on our contact page.
What we collect and why
When you send us a message
If you use the contact form, we collect your name, your email address, your phone number if you give it, and your message. It is stored on the website and emailed to us so that we can reply to you. We keep it until we delete it, and we do not use it for anything else.
When you book an appointment
If you book online, we collect your name, email address and phone number, the services and time you choose, and any notes you add about your dog. We use them to manage your appointment, to send you a confirmation and to contact you about it. They are kept until we delete them.
If a deposit is taken when you book, the payment is handled by Stripe, a payment provider. Your card details go straight to Stripe and are never seen or stored by this website or by us. Stripe tells us that the payment has been made.
Who looks after the website
The website is hosted for us in the United Kingdom by British Web Design, who process this information on our behalf and deliver the website's email. They do not use it for anything else.
Cookies
The website sets two small cookies that every visitor needs: a session cookie, which makes the website work as you move from page to page, and a security cookie, which protects the forms from misuse. Neither is used to track you.
The website's own count of visitors is cookieless: it does not set a cookie or identify you.
If we ever switch on Google Analytics or advertising tags, a banner will ask for your permission first, and nothing is set until you accept. Your answer is remembered in your browser.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law (the UK GDPR) you can ask us for a copy of the information we hold about you, ask us to correct it or delete it, and object to how we use it. Just email us and we will help.
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top of the page shows when it last changed.
